Privacy policy
This page explains what BuildIoT BD does with your personal information when you use buildiotbd.com.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address and password (we store only a scrambled form of the password).
- Orders and delivery: the delivery name, phone number and address you enter, what you ordered, and your payment method and transaction ID.
- Requests: messages, quote requests, product questions, reviews and newsletter sign-ups you send us.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, needed to run and protect the site.
Why we use it
- To take, deliver and support your orders.
- To send order updates, account emails and, only if you subscribe, our newsletter.
- To keep the shop safe: stopping fake orders, spam and attacks.
- To keep accounting and tax records we must keep.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share only what is needed with:
- Couriers: your name, phone number and delivery address, so they can deliver.
- Payment services such as bKash and Nagad, for the payments you make.
- Our hosting, email and security providers, who process data on our behalf, including Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a visitor is not a bot.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the shop needs to work: your session, your cart, your language and security checks. We do not use advertising trackers. Our host may collect basic, anonymous traffic statistics.
How long we keep it
We keep your account until you ask us to delete it. We keep order records as long as accounting and the law require.
Your choices
- See or correct your details in your account, or ask us to.
- Ask us to delete your account. We may have to keep order records.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any newsletter email.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection. We limit who can see customer data and protect staff accounts with two-step login. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.
